1 November 2026
We're sharing an important update about the people responsible for overseeing your super.
From 1 November 2026, Stewarda Pty Ltd (AFSL 236049 RSE Licence L0000185) is the new trustee of the Smart Future Trust.
GuildSuper is a product within the Smart Future Trust.
While there's a change happening behind the scenes, our commitment to supporting you and your financial future remains the same.
First, what's a trustee?
You might not think about your super's trustee very often, and that's okay. But they have an important job.
A trustee is legally responsible for overseeing your super fund and making decisions in the best financial interests of members.
This includes overseeing how your super is managed, making sure the fund meets its legal obligations and managing risk.
In other words, the trustee plays an important role in looking after your super, both now and into the future.
Meet Stewarda, your new trustee
Stewarda is a superannuation trustee company.
Here are all the technical details: Stewarda is part of the Future Group of Companies which comprises Future Group Australia Holdings Pty Ltd ABN 68 618 367 927, the parent entity of the group and its subsidiaries (Future Group). GuildSuper is also part of Future Group.
Stewarda’s board is led by Chair Jeremy Cooper, a respected figure in Australia's super industry and former Deputy Chair of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).
Stewarda also has a majority-independent board - including Keri Pratt, Shailendra Singh, Virginia Malley, Lee Brennan and Sharon Davis (non-independent) bringing experience and independent oversight to the decisions that affect members.
This change is about having a trustee focused on the needs of members and the long-term management of their super.
What does this mean for you?
We know your days can be busy. The last thing you need is unnecessary confusion about your super.
The important thing to know is that GuildSuper is still here for you.
We're continuing to focus on what matters: helping early learning professionals feel supported, informed and confident about their financial future.
The change of trustee doesn't change why GuildSuper exists or our commitment to members.
We'll continue to support you with practical information and guidance to help you make the most of your super, whatever stage of your career you're at.
Do you need to do anything?
You don't need to take any action specifically to appoint Stewarda as the new trustee. The change became effective from 1 November 2026.
We'll continue to keep you informed about any important updates relating to your super.
As always, you can reach out to our team if you have questions.
We understand the important work you do, and we believe your financial future deserves just as much care and attention.
While the trustee behind GuildSuper is changing, our focus on your financial future isn’t.
