Strengthening GuildSuper for the future

GuildSuper is moving to Smart Future Trust as part of a Successor Fund Transfer.

This change is happening behind the scenes to strengthen our investment capabilities. Your employees will continue to be members of GuildSuper.

This change is designed to support members over the long term through:

  • Lower overall fees for most members

  • A refreshed range of investment options

  • The strength and stability of a larger fund

  • Continued quality service and support

For employers, the most important change is updating the fund details used to make super contributions from 5 September 2026 onwards.

The most important change for you

Update the USI you use for super contributions you make from 5 September 2026.

From 5 September 2026, all super contributions for GuildSuper members must use our new fund details.

What you need to do

  • Update the USI in your payroll system.

  • Update your super clearing house, if required.

  • Update onboarding systems or forms with our new details

  • Tell your payroll team or service provider that manages super contributions for you about these changes.

For most employers, these are the only actions you need to take.

Frequently asked questions

Why is this change happening?

GuildSuper is becoming part of Smart Future Trust to provide members with the benefits of increased scale when it comes to the investment structure behind the scenes. Members will continue to be members of GuildSuper.

Will employees still be members of GuildSuper?

Yes, employees will continue to be members of GuildSuper.

Behind the scenes, their account will be held in Smart Future Trust, a larger investment structure that supports GuildSuper. This move allows members to benefit from the efficiencies and capabilities that come with greater scale in superannuation. We’re making this change in members’ best financial interests to strengthen the product offering.

Do I need to collect new Standard Choice Forms?

No. Existing employees who are members of GuildSuper don't need to complete a new Standard Choice Form because of this change.

For new employees, please use your usual process and the updated fund details from 5 September 2026. If you use standard choice forms you can download one with our new details here.

What happens if I use the old USI?

You will receive an error message and will need to update our details. Using the correct USI helps ensure contributions are processed quickly and allocated to the right fund. Please update your payroll system before making contributions from 5 September 2026.

Will my employees' member or account numbers change?

No. Employees who are members of GuildSuper will keep the same member and account numbers. No action is required.
